{ White Cheddar Crackers }

These crackers are the bomb! Only a few ingredients, and super quick and easy to whip up. Just mix, roll out, slice with a pizza cutter and bake until golden– voila! Everybody in this house loves them, especially with our fall and winter soups. (We are still using up the last of our storage veggies over here before summer hits.) I’ve even been known to make these for after-school snack too. They’re super great– all cheesy, flakey, and delicious. Try them for yourself! You won’t be sorry.

If you don’t have any white cheddar on hand, feel free to substitute whatever shredded cheese you most like (I’m thinking cheddar, parmesan, or gouda…). Also, you may want to cut the recipe in half as it makes quite a few, although we find these snackable bites go pretty fast so it’s likely worth it to stick with it as is!

Total Time22 minutes
Servings: 40 crackers

Ingredients

  • 2 cup white cheddar cheese, coarsely shredded
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Cream cheese, butter, salt until combined. Mix in flour until crumbly.
  • Slowly add the water until the dough forms a ball. It may take a little time for the dough to form a ball after water has been added so be careful not to add much more unless necessary.
  • Roll out dough until it's 1/8" thick on lightly floured surface. Using pastry wheel or pizza cutter, slice into 1" width strips by 4" in length.
  • Transfer to baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and edges begin to brown. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Enjoy!

Notes

Double the amount of salt if using unsalted butter.
