{ Pesto Pasta Sauce }

An easy weeknight meal or side, we cook up this dish often with our garden leafy greens. Beginning with this kale pesto recipe adding just a couple more steps yields an easy-to-make creamy sauce, that everyone will love!

Pesto Pasta Sauce

Servings: 6 people


  • 2 cup kale pesto (see link above)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (or finely chopped garlic scape)
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 1/3 cup reserved pasta water
  • salt + pepper to taste
  • 1 box (700g) pasta


  • Cook pasta in large pot of boiling, salted water.
  • Meanwhile, in medium frying pan over low heat, add pesto and garlic. Heat and stir.
  • Add cream, bring to simmer.
  • Once pasta is cooked, scoop out 1/3 cup of the pasta water (before draining) and add directly to the sauce. Drain pasta.
  • Toss noodles with sauce, stirring to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Serve sprinkled with parmesan.
