Cook Time10 minutes mins
Servings: 4 people
- 4 pak choi
- 3 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or garlic scape)
- 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Trim the bottom of the Pak choi and slice in half lengthwise.
Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the garlic and ginger, and saute for a few minutes until fragrant. Place the pak choy cut side down in the pan, season with salt and pepper and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp of water to the pan and quickly cover. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it steam for 2 minutes, until pak choy is bright green and slightly wilted. Finish with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
