Citrus + Garlic BBQ Kale


  • 8-12 large kale leaves, any variety
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup blood orange olive oil (or substitute for regular)
  • Juice from one naval orange
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt + pepper to taste


  • In large resealable bag, combine all ingredients. Massage kale until evenly coated.
  • Let marinate for up to 2 hours in the fridge, occasionally turning and massaging the kale.¬†
  • Grill on a medium to low heat BBQ for 1-2 minutes on each side until charred.¬†Serve.
